Nothing will beat the moment Morrissey walked onto the stage at Motorpoint Arena to the ecstatic raw of an adoring crowd; surprisingly shorter than I had an imagined but full of bravado the ex Smiths front man captivated the audience immediately. Teamed with his skilled band, a flashy light show and an nostalgic backdrop of past photos it was set to be an incredible evening.
Morrissey swept through the well crafted songs of World Peace Is None Of Your Business whilst mixing in old classics both from his solo career and The Smiths, his luscious tones filling the arena it felt intimate despite the thousands of people. The incredible atmosphere flowing through that space made this gig my most memorable of 2015, countless people singing the lyrics we all cherished and being mere meters from the man who wrote them. I shall never forget the day I saw Morrissey live.
